Privacy Policy

1. Overview

WorkSource Global, Inc. (“WorkSource,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is building a verified hiring marketplace that connects job seekers and employers through structured profiles, job-fit logic, identity verification workflows, employer-side job posts, and application management tools. This Privacy Policy explains how we may collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information in connection with the WorkSource website, application, employer dashboard, candidate profiles, communications, and related services.

This policy is designed for a U.S.-based marketplace launching this summer, beginning in Charlotte, North Carolina. WorkSource is not currently positioned as a financial institution, insurance provider, healthcare provider, lender, or consumer reporting agency. If WorkSource later offers regulated services, including background check functionality through a third-party provider, this policy and related notices will be updated to reflect those workflows.

2. Scope and Key Definitions

3. Information We Collect

We collect information directly from users, automatically through the Services, and from third-party service providers or public/business sources when needed to operate the marketplace, verify accounts, protect the platform, and improve matching quality.

Background-check related informationIf background checks are later offered, the feature is expected to be delivered through a third-party background-check provider. Additional FCRA-compliant notices, authorizations, and adverse-action workflows may apply before any background check is ordered or used.
Optional demographic or compliance informationInformation a user voluntarily provides or that may be required for legal, compliance, or equal-opportunity reporting purposes. WorkSource does not intend to use protected characteristics as job-matching criteria.

4. How We Use Information

  • Convert resume content into structured WorkSource profile data and maintain accurate user profiles.
  • Enable employers to post jobs and review applicants who choose to apply.
  • Support job-fit matching, search, filtering, eligibility logic, location matching, credential matching, and application routing based on job-relevant criteria.
  • Verify users, employers, and account integrity through internal controls and third-party providers.
  • Process payments, subscriptions, invoices, refunds, tax records, and billing support through Stripe or similar processors.
  • Communicate about accounts, applications, job opportunities, product updates, security alerts, service messages, and support requests.
  • Improve the Services, troubleshoot errors, monitor performance, analyze marketplace activity, and develop new features.
  • Prevent fraud, misuse, unauthorized access, spam, scraping, impersonation, and other harmful activity.
  • Comply with legal obligations, enforce contracts, resolve disputes, and preserve records needed for corporate, tax, security, or compliance purposes.

5. How We Share Information

We may share information only as needed to operate the Services, comply with law, protect users, and support marketplace functionality. We do not sell personal information in the traditional sense of exchanging it for money. If any future advertising or analytics activity is treated as a “sale” or “sharing” under applicable state privacy law, we will provide required notices and opt-out mechanisms.

6. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies, pixels, local storage, software development kits, and similar technologies to operate the Services, keep users signed in, remember preferences, measure performance, understand feature usage, prevent fraud, and improve the product. Some analytics or advertising technologies may be provided by third parties.

Users may control cookies through browser settings, device settings, or any consent tools made available through the Services. If WorkSource changes its cookie or analytics stack, this policy, the cookie notice, and the available opt-out mechanisms will be updated as required by applicable law.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain accounts, support application and hiring workflows, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, protect platform integrity, and maintain appropriate business records.

8. User Choices and Privacy Rights

Depending on where a user lives and the laws that apply, users may have rights to request access to personal information, correction, deletion, portability, restriction or objection to processing, opt-out of certain targeted advertising or data sharing, and appeal of certain privacy decisions. WorkSource provides mechanisms for eligible users to submit privacy requests through the contact channels described in this policy.

  • Account controls: Users may update certain profile, contact, and account information through the Services where available.
  • Communications preferences: Users may opt out of marketing emails by using unsubscribe links, but operational, transactional, security, and account-related messages may still be sent.
  • Deletion requests: Users may request deletion of eligible personal information, subject to legal, security, fraud prevention, dispute, tax, accounting, or marketplace recordkeeping needs.
  • State privacy requests: If applicable state laws apply, WorkSource will provide the required request, verification, response, and appeal process.
  • Do Not Sell or Share / targeted advertising: If WorkSource engages in activity that constitutes a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under applicable state law, WorkSource will provide required notices and opt-out choices.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These safeguards may include access controls, vendor controls, logging, encryption where appropriate, least-privilege permissions, secure cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and incident response procedures.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials and promptly notifying WorkSource of suspected unauthorized access.

10. Children and Minors

The Services are intended for job seekers and employer users who are legally able to use hiring marketplace services. WorkSource does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If WorkSource learns that it collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, it will take reasonable steps to delete that information.

11. Matching, Automation, and AI-Assisted Features

WorkSource may use structured data, rules-based logic, analytics, and AI-assisted features to improve profile completion, job descriptions, candidate-job fit, search, filtering, fraud prevention, and marketplace operations. Matching is intended to be based on job-relevant factors such as location, work history, credentials, qualifications, skills, availability, and employer-defined role requirements.

WorkSource does not intend to use protected characteristics as matching criteria. Employers remain responsible for their own hiring decisions, legal compliance, interview processes, candidate communications, and final employment decisions.

12. International Users and Data Transfers

WorkSource is initially designed for U.S.-based operations. If users access the Services from outside the United States, their information may be processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where WorkSource or its vendors operate. Those jurisdictions may have privacy laws that differ from the user’s location. WorkSource will update this policy if international operations, cross-border data transfer obligations, or additional frameworks become relevant.

13. Third-Party Services

The Services may link to or integrate with third-party services, including identity verification providers, payment processors, analytics providers, communications tools, background-check providers, or employer systems. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. WorkSource is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties outside its control.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, vendors, legal obligations, security practices, or business operations. The updated policy will be posted with a new effective date. If changes are material, WorkSource may provide additional notice as required by law or appropriate under the circumstances.

16. Mobile Information and Text Messages

If you provide a mobile number and opt in to text messages, WorkSource uses that number only to send the account and hiring notifications described in the WorkSource Alerts program terms in the WorkSource Terms of Service. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any WorkSource text message to cancel, or HELP for help.

WorkSource does not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or text message consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile numbers are shared only with the messaging service provider that delivers the messages on our behalf, and only for that purpose. You may withdraw text message consent at any time by replying STOP or by turning text notifications off in your WorkSource notification settings.

Biometric Data Notice

WorkSource verifies the identity of its users. As part of identity verification, our verification partner Didit asks you to photograph your government ID and take a selfie. The selfie is a facial scan, which is a biometric identifier.

  • What we collect: an image of your government ID and a facial scan (a biometric identifier).
  • Purpose: solely to verify your identity and prevent fraud. We do not sell biometric data or use it for any other purpose.
  • Who processes it: Didit collects and processes this data on WorkSource's behalf as our processor. WorkSource does not store your ID images or facial scan.
  • Retention and destruction: biometric data is retained only as long as needed to verify you and is then deleted on our retention schedule, and in any event no later than the period required by applicable law. You may request deletion at any time by contacting privacy@theworksource.com.
  • Your consent: we ask for your affirmative consent before any facial scan is collected, and we keep a record of that consent.
